The River Parrett

Picture
The River Parrrett winds its way through Somerset from Chedington to Burnham-on-Sea.  In April 2010 my family walked its length, mainly following the River Parrett Trail, but diverting at Bridgwater to walk along the northern bank to Burnham on Sea rather than the southern bank which ends in the bird sanctuary at Steart Point.  This was because beaches more than birds appeal to 8-year-old boys!!!
